Why Be A Racist?
We can't take money religion family Or hate when we die.
But we can take love, and send it back to those who will cry.
For only love will cure any grieving and lonely heart.
And cause a no-good son or daughter
To give life another start.
Wikipedia says, RACISM is a product of the complex interaction in a given society of a race-based worldview with prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination.
Debates over the origins of racism often suffer from a lack of clarity over the term. The fight against racism is an immediate and urgent challenge. Racism today unlike colonial times, does not just exist based on colour. Racial and class segregation has produced a segregated school system, and contributed to the sharp downward slide in the quality of education received by children all over the country. The privatization of public education is worsening this problem and is poisoning the minds of the young learners. Though Racism is officially banned by the Govt Of India, believe it or not, it still exists in every part of the country(well, I'm not just talking on the basis of colour). Scientists believe there is the tendency in all animals to selectively preserve their own kind even at the cost of a different animal type, which is in essence what caused racism, not to mention prejudice in general.
Martin Luther King says "I have a dream, That my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, But by the content of their character.
So how do we tackle Racism?
The most effective way is to stop talking about it. 😃
